教員研修留学生（大使館推薦）

前年の12月からその年の2月にかけて、在外公館にて、その年の10月に渡日する留学生の募集があり、2月中旬から3月にかけて、第一次選考（申請書類、面接及び学科試験）が現地で行われます。
4月下旬頃までに各大使館や総領事館から外務省を通じ文部科学省に推薦されます。
文部科学省は、推薦された候補者について最終選考を行い、採用者を選定します。

From December of the previous year to February of the current year, applications for international students scheduled to arrive in Japan in October are accepted at Japanese embassies and consulates abroad.
The first round of selection — including document screening, interviews, and academic examinations — is conducted locally from mid-February to March.
By around late April, recommended candidates are submitted by each embassy or consulate to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
MEXT then conducts the final selection and determines the successful applicants.
